Need some advice sorry folks.
A work colleague has died suddenly over the weekend and to offer some support a few colleagues have met this morning in a Costa coffee.
We all met and one person went inside to get the drinks whilst the others sat in the outside seating area. We placed a number of orders and spent just under 2 hours there. However, on coming away we realised that the time limit for parking was 90 mins.

We went inside then to ask the staff if anything could be done where it then became clear that we should have entered our registration numbers into an iPad near the till. However, this expectation had not been clear from the start especially since most of the party had remained outside.
I can’t remember the name of the parking company but think it’s Parking Eye. The signage stated a £100 fine but will that be reduced for early payment? Ive reached out to Costa to see if they are able to assist or intervene (it’s a dedicated Costa car park with no other businesses using it) but is there anything further I can do?

After you 'reached out', did the man/woman in Costa say "Leave it with us sir. We'll sort it out"?1

The staff within the store were unable/unwilling to assist further than telling us to input the registration numbers into the iPad and hoping for the best.My contact with Costa Customer Services is currently unanswered but it was only an hour ago I sent that message.0

It's not a fine. You won't be paying,I can’t remember the name of the parking company but think it’s Parking Eye.Please dig out the first PCN and post a redacted version here.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

He hasn't had it yet. Read the OP. It only happened this weekend, he is clearly trying to deal with it before he has had anything through the post.Coupon-mad said:It's not a fine.
