Hello, so having moved to paper free bank statements etc etc a long time ago I am now wondering where the best and safest place is to store things.
store on laptop only - what happens if it goes kaput
back up on usb ? - it can also break
is there a cloud which is secure to store stuff , like password manager except for secure documents

You could use something like Dropbox, plus a local hard drive or USB.Things that are different: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid0

Google Drive or OneDrive would be easy

The usual advice is to have a local back up (a well hidden USB will do) and a cloud back up. Google and Microsoft sometimes close accounts without giving any notice.

I use protonmail. Email, VPN, storage - everything encrypted.
