I'm a little confused by the slow cooker entry - when I was growing up 'low' was the default (as was using it overnight to take advantage of e7. That seems to suggest most people use them on 'high' (I understand not recommending people use appliances overnight given the fire hazard).
Also air fryers, cooking two chicken breast - for Christmas I bought my mum one (not hugely expensive) and it'll take a whole chicken or a full pack of chicken breasts easily. She uses it to cook some up for sarnies in the week. You'd need the oven if you wanted chicken plus roasties etc.

Just to clarify - I didn't buyit to be money saving. I bought because I really wanted it. But then once I had it, I thought I should try to find out the likely costings.
