do you have to use the medical report or can request another report?

are you saying that you got a report from a consultant about a medical issue but it doesn't support your case?
the time has been spent so it will have to be paid for - solicitor will advise whether the report has to be used1 -

A medical report should simply be a factual report of the situation. It shouldn't matter who requests it.
