Sad demise of Money Dashboard app

For those forum members with multiple bank accounts, savings accounts and active credit cards, the Money Dashboard app (MD) was a great way to list and track your running balances, using the open banking architecture to pull bank data into the app for ease of reference.
From my point of a view it was a great way to maintain an overview of net liquid assets from all sources, without resorting to laborious and potentially complicated manually created spreadsheets with many of the account balances being updated daily in realtime.
As the title indicates, and much to my concernation the App is to close at the end of October with all bank links deleted at that time. The App was free for users, but the developer's funding model ( sale of anonymous user data) was insufficient to support its commercial future.
Having depended on the App for so long (8 years) the quest was on to find a replacement app with similar functionality.
After some research I have discovered Moneyhub ( on Google app store). It operates on a subscription basis ( £14.99 p.a or £1.49p.m), but with a 6 month free introductory offer which I am currently taking advantage of. Like MD it uses open banking architecture to pull in balances ( read only ) but with significantly more links than MD ever achieved.
Thus far, I can report that it does everything MD could do and more. As far as net asset reporting is concerned, apart from bank/ savings accounts one can manually introduce investment portfolio balances, property values, mortgage accounts, personal loans etc to build a true picture of one's net asset position.
Going a stage further , there is a State benefits calculator, pension modeller, spending budgets, forecasts etc. In short it does appear to be an all singing all dancing app with something to offer anyone passionate about keeping tabs on their financial position.
Early days yet, but it looks as if I will be subscribing at the end of the free use period.
