Rail Strikes - UK Holiday Insurance Help!

Options
I'm struggling to find some UK holiday insurance for a break in November to cover strike action.

I contacted the post office who said they covered strikes on the phone, then confirmed they didn't via email so I cancelled the policy.

Can anyone please point me in the right direction???

Stay sure will cover strikes with their additional travel disruption  cover  but say

Your travel insurance should cover you for strikes as long as strike action was not common knowledge at the time of booking your trip, or taking out your policy (whichever came later).

The current situation may  come under 'common knowledge ' in that statement.

It's really frustrating isn't it! I don't drive so don't usually have an alternative option. The rail companies lose out because I am reluctant to risk booking trips, particularly when it also involves a hotel/guest house as well.
