As we reach the 20th week of waiting for probate I was wondering how long other people have been waiting. Any information you can offer would be great!

I applied early October 2022 , finally approved end of may 2023
That included a couple of questions from them slowing down the processEx forum ambassador

Approx 8 weeks, applied Feb 23 - granted April 23. IHT had been settled in full prior to the probate application.

Probate granted June 2022. Took 6 weeks, applied myself online. Very straightforward excepted estate, very low value estate as house and most savings held jointly and simply passed automatically to me. It's a bit of a lottery though! I believe if any queries are raised by the probate office it will take much longer1
