Paid PCN and still Debt Recovery letter

I received a Penalty Charge Notice for parking without a ticket in a location where ticketing was not previously required during my last visit. I promptly paid the charge within the 14-day period after receiving the notice. However, I later realised that the notice was not dated within the 14 days as the letter arrived late in the mail. I became aware of this when I received a subsequent letter, this time from a Debt Recovery agency. Is there any recourse available to me in this situation?

if private then why on earth did you pay
  • Yes private. I’d never received one before so I thought it would just go away after making the payment. Discovered this forum too late. Any advice?

You have been mugged don't get mugged again, and it was never a "Penalty Charge Notice" it was a speculative invoice.
Ignore DR idiots don't waste your time and effort.
  • By paying you admitted liability. Nowhere to run from this now. Just ignore the DRA letters as there is nothing they can do.
