Morning all
Its a bit dull and overcast here but it’s meant to brighten up later, I will get the dogs out for a longer walk later I’m trying to get my exercise level up a bit.
DD is off to work at lunch time so will not be here for dinner and will be very late back tonight, not sure what to have for dinner I’m thinking maybe pork chops and mash.
Will do a bit of housework this morning and hoover through the floors could do with a mop too, wm is doing its thing and I can hopefully hang the washing out for a while.
I won’t see Rob now till Tuesday - hopefully he will be better by then, I will not answer any calls from his mum as I need to step back a bit I think she is taking advantage slightly no more running over there with a loaf and some milk, it’s my fault I should have said no! She has family who could help her but most of them don’t seem to want to know her.
I hope the babies are starting to improve xxx
Have good days all and take care xx

Morning all, nice to be back
I was back late Saturday night and then my sister was here Sunday and Monday to unload my car and load hers up, rest of Monday was spent tidying and OH had volunteered to feed a friends cats but was on lates so guess who had to do it? And Tuesday too. Thankfully there's another friend doing Weds and Thurs. I was supposed to be having a hospital appointmentTuesday morning, to see about my foot, but it was cancelled due to strikes and while I'm completely onboard with nurses and doctors getting fair pay and being treated well, it's hard not be a bit irritated because I've been waiting for two years for this..oh well, it'll be rebooked. A friend came round Tuesday afternoon and then I fell asleep and did some more tidying, Wednesday was a double flu and covid jab, folowed by more putting away, and a couple of hours in the garden because it's green bin day today and the grass hadn't been cut for over a month. The lawnmower did protest a bit. I told it not to be such a wimp and it rallied. And I've spent two days reading to catch up...
Italy was very very hot for a few weeks, 32 degrees, impossible to sleep upstairs so I followed my sisters lead and slept in the other downstairs room where there's a bit of breeze if you leave the windows open. Got bitten to death by mosquitoes and had the same reaction as last year, so my legs looked like I'd been shot, but we did get rid of quite a lot fo stuff again [loads and loads of brand new, never used towels, sheets , curtains etc], this time to an Emmaus charity [charity shops in Italy are unheard of practically] and I did a Netting 2.0 attempt to keep out the pigeons who have found a way into the garage again and rescued two idiotic ones who fell down a covered chimney, don't know how. My uncle had been in hopsital so we did some visiting, my cousins son had a bbq and we went to a local restaurant that did Fiorentina with another cuosin and oh my god, that was the best meat I have ever tasted. My cousins daughter might be getting married married next year so it might be a two trip year..We did goto Lago d'Iseo for a day and that was nice, next time, we said we're staying the niht and travelling round it. We used to go to Zone 700 when we were children and it's right by that. The house is still in a state of disrepair, for every mending job we did, something else went wrong, so I'm beginning to want to set fire to it. Only a lottery win will bring it up to standard so serious talks with sister will be had.So...Nanny, I was very sorry to hear your news about your niece, how awful for her family and for you all. My condolences. And no strictly here either. Likewise my condolences to you too TA for Sparkle by name and nature. Glad to see you've shaken off the covid. ...Florence, I'm sorry you have had to go to so many funerals recently too, there's a story behind each one and hopefully the memories will overtake the grief at some point. Coxy, congratulations on your insane walking skillz, and hopefully your DD will find what she's after, I don't think degreees matter anyway, it's always who you know not what you know in my experience. And congratulations on your new job! And the VR! Topsy, hope your son has his op soon to speed his recovery. dp1, I'm sorry you're still being messed about by the PIP people, hopefully the tribunal will go in your favour. Good to see your gd is enjoying school. Jackie, I hope you're out of hospital or on the verge of, fingers crossed! Ruby, I hope your client can be helped by his SW, and I can see how it must be upsetting for you to be in the middle when that's not your job...There's so much overlap sometimes, it's hard to know when to retreat, but I think you're right. Sorry about your Cornishware too. WL, Chippenham isn't that far from me so I will wave across the motorway...Izzy, glad you enjoyed your holiday and took full advantage of the boss being away. glad you're also enjoying the volunteering. [I have about ten marrows and trombonvino's to give to the community fridge tomorrow, they do such good work ] Scarlet, gope your DHs tests came back with news that can be treated. Gers, I did giggle at the washing line full of knickers.. NRA, hope there's something in place for your mil by now and congratualions on the move at last!. There was an anniversary too, so Happy Anniversary....bella, good to hear he's on the mend. And my brain has farted so congratulation to Charlie's gm....Sorry about the essay, Nels always used to tell me I wrote loads...So hopefully take care all!

Morning all from a sunny mehefinland.
Well next door have got pigs!! And... they have just been put out in a new grass enclosure where they can be seen by the nags. Mayhem! The equine conversation goes something like this:
Wozzat
Wot
That!!!
Wot?
That thing there. it looks scary.
Oh
Go and have a look
Not likely
Your the biggest
Your the boss!!
Think I'll just stand here and stare at it , perhaps it will go away.
Think I'll join you.
It hasn't gone, I'll run around in a big circle and have another look
Ok i'll join you
No its still there!
And so on and so on ad nauseum. It was so funny as Showman took one look and said an equine equivalent of Humph! and carried on eating. This has now been going on for several days and today i think was the first time they ignored them. Piggys are about to farrow so then there will be some fun.
As you probably remember I am involved with our local community library and we have just been donated a carrier bag full of cds of all genres. Any suggestions where we may dispose of them to make a bit of cash? Ziffit/music Magpie not interested or only give coppers. There must be others out there.
Thats about it for now. Hugs and spoons as always

@dp1 we have the same issue with parents meals - we're lucky that our charity have subsidised a programme of value meals in the main hospital canteen, there is always a pasta meal & a veggie meal every day including at weekends.2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Afternoon everyone
Welcome home Taff, we've all been wondering when you were coming back.
Little one had her first Harvest Festival in the village church this morning, I went with DD and my mam so she had 3 generations there. She sang loudly and with great enthusiasm!
Came home from that, had a cuppa and then went down to work.. I call it work I mostly played with lego.
Floss - I remember you telling me when little one last had a hospital stay and I rang and emailed various people but we don't seem to have anything like that in our area. DD has at last been sent a card with little one's details on it and saying that she needs to be seen promptly at A and E as her condition can deteriorate so rapidly....so that's good and will hopefully stop them waiting hours to be seen.
I'm going to get my dishes done and my jarmies on. It's been quite chilly the last few nights - I've been wearing fluffy socks and dressing gown and lighting a couple of candles.8 -
@mehefin - can you put the CDs out for sale in the library? Do they have a shelf or two where they sell books? We just sell the CDs along with the books. Make more then we would trying to sell them online.6
