Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc.
Still wet outside although not raining at the moment, the roads were quite flooded yesterday, probably the same today.
Glad you have got SW involved Ruby, hope Rob is ok.
Not a lot happening here, plumber should come either today or tomorrow to fix the drippy kitchen tap. He's the husband of a work colleague so am happy to leave the key.
Hope you all have a good day, take care. XX11 -
Morning all and thanks for the start nmlc x
Sorry to hear about little DGS @bellabella and Esther @snoozer - such a worry. I hope they are both feeling brighter soon x
My sore throat has gone but has been replaced by sniffles and a cough so I was up at 1.30am dosing myself up and getting some water. Luckily I'm WFH today although I do have to pop out to post 2 birthday cards.
Dinner tonight is mozzarella, tomato and chilli pasta - the SW recipe makes loads (meant to serve 4) so I'll adapt for us three. I also have a pile of ironing to do, so may tackle that after work.
Hope Rob is okay @RedRuby1231 and he returns to your care soon. DD has raised safeguarding concerns about a couple of year ones (5 years old) better safe than sorry.
Have a good day all and hugs to the poorlies.

Morning folks.Yesterday was a dreadful day, so much rain fell, it didn't stop until sometime in the night. I didn't put even my nose out the door. This morning I have an appointment for both the Covid and 'flu vaccines. Then I'm going to the pool for the exercise class after which I'm heading down to Glasgow for an overnight stay. Tomorrow I have an early'ish appointment so don't want to risk being caught in bad weather.I hope that everyone is doing fine. Happy Thursday to all.11

Morning folks. Looks overcast today. Hoping the weekend does indeed bring the sun, I could really do with tackling the outdoor jobs which are overwhelming at present.
Today I should catch up on housework, but not feeling it yet!Married 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.

Morning folks. A drab start here too with mizzly rain on the forecast. Not a very uplifting day in store.
Not much to say this morning and I have yet to get my industrious head on. I lay in bed planning all sorts of jobs and when I get up they come to nowt! I have just done a bit of banking so far and that's my lot!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all in need. IZZY I hope your DH is resting up and getting his leg better. BELLA and SNOOZER it's a big worry when babes are poorly and they can't tell you what's wrong. Hope they both soon recover well. COXY I hope your sniffles don't get any worse. Take care all, as well as the MIA. xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"12 -
Morning all. Looks like a grey day here.
Busy day yesterday as I was helping at the Community Larder. Picked up a few bits for myself but most of them will get passed on to a Food Bank. I tried some of the vanilla kefir yogurt with my breakfast cereal and, whilst it wasn't awful, I don't think I'll get it again.
Today I need to get some food shopping and DH is having both his Covid and Flu jabs later this afternoon. I need to book my Covid jab now I've had the notification come through.
The flipping DVLA car tax refund cheque has bounced yet again so the bank has said we'll need to get a new cheque issued. DH can deal with that as its his car; bet it proves difficult!
Off to start some pork shoulder steaks in the slow cooker. Have a good day everyone.11 -

Morning all, thanks nmlc. It feels like it's been raining most of the night, and we got wet on the brief dogwalk. L kept pulling me to go back home , but it's stopped for now. DGS is meant to be doing cross country at the park at the top of the road later, so we'll have to wait to see if it's still on. I don't think it's the best place for it, he turned over on his ankle last year and had to drop out. The council leave a lot of the grass to 'rewild' and just cut a little strip through for walkers/runners, and there are potholes too that you can't see properly- ask me how I knowIf it is on then I need a quick option for tea, so prob the quiche that got delivered yesterday. Last night was the stir fry, all plates cleared.Hope the poorly babies are much better soon ((hugs)) to them.I felt a bit tired yesterday due to my sniffles but better today so far. Caught up on the phone with our friend, she was delighted with the birthday card I made, I was quite pleased with it tooDS2 is having a tooth out today. DS1 mentioned going up to the retail park to return some jeans so I may have a trip with him.Take care all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Hi everyone,
Thanks for the good wishes for Esther, she is a bit up and down but ok on the whole. Laura is taking her up to the passport office in Peterborough in a minute, she's got a fast track appointment because they are going to Costa Rica next month and they still haven't sorted Esther's passport (surprise, surprise). Having said that they got a passport for Esben very early but then weren't able to use it because of Covid.
Has anyone watched the Partygate programme on Channel 4, I'm in two minds because I know it will make me so angry?
Steve's golfing, Eben's at nursery and Brian has gone to work so when Laura goes I'll be by myself, luxury. We have a -quiz this evening so I don't even need to make dinner.
#++'d better go, Esther has come to investigate whatt I am doing'.11 -
Morning all Well the news re Matthew is good he was up just once last night and then slept till 7.15 so he seems to be on the mend thank you for all your good wishes again . I am off to costco in a bit as they have some of my regular items on special. Dinner tonight chicken wrapped in bacon
Snoozer I am following you again please tell Laura to make sure she has plenty and i mean half a suitcase of mossy spray as when we went with friends we were eaten alive most unusual for me we ended up buying some local stuff we took loads of different brands they didn't work it was like spraying yourself in petrol so every night was double showers before and after dinner but we had a wonderful time including seeing 2 sloths having a fight which was hilarious as everything is so slow and exaggerated (they were unharmed it was at a wildlife sanctuary no selfies no touching just watching them all) we also walked past a jumping viper without realising thank goodness our guide spotted him hiding . They will have a wonderful time
Right enough waffle from me have a great day whatever you are up to stay safe warm and drySlava Ukraini10
