Managed Migration to Universal Credit - with Income Protection

Newcad - just got on journal the amount they are going to pay (UC) and it is £105 a month less than CTC - they have said no transitional payment and taken off my ill health pension from total UC using it as countable income. It is so much to lose each month.0

It's as we suspected then; the private policy is not disregard for UC and so will be deducted. The question of whether it should have been taken into account for the caluclation of a TE is a different thing.Whilst you may want to MR that I strongly suggest that you don't try to do it on your own.
It's the kind of issue that needs a legal approach, not least because the whole question of just how they are currently calculating TE's may yet end up in High Court for Judicial Review. If you do want to MR then I suggest that you get help from an advisor local to you, to find one you can put your postcode in here: https://advicelocal.uk/find-an-adviser
