Motorhome hire

To celebrate a big birthday, I'm thinking of hiring a motorhome (rather than a campervan) for my husband and I plus our two children (18 /13) plus dog in the Yorkshire Dales / Lake District areas next August 2024. Unfortunately we are unable to go out of season. Probably 4 nights / 5 days hire rather than a week, depending on the cost.
If anyone has any experiences hiring in this area, I'd love to hear. Also any tips on campsites, places to visit, ease of driving etc.
