Land owner cancelled tickets but I’m still being pursued

Had good read around the forum threads and I still have the following question. I’ve was issued two parking tickets by Smart Parking Ltd. On receipt of the tickets I contacted the Land Owner (hotel) who confirmed that both tickets had been cancelled on their cancellation system and to ignore any letters from Smart Parking. I’ve now had months of letters from DRP and now CST which I have not responded to. So in the event that this goes to court is the fact that the land owner stated that they cancelled the tickets and to ignore any letters a defence?

How was that "contact" made? If it was by phone, you do realise that anything said is not worth the paper it was written on?Dogtown1975 said:Had good read around the forum threads and I still have the following question. Or... do you have an email or written correspondence that the landowner instructed their agent to cancel the PCNs?2 -
Do you have confirmation of the landowner cancellation in writing? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Just send the proof to the "outrageous scammers" (Hansard, HoC debate re parking companies and debt collectors, 2018).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks for the quick response. Yes I have the confirmation emails from the hotel manager that the PCN’s had been cancelled on the cancellation system. I put this in writing to Smart Parking Ltd and DRP. Smart Parking Ltd and DRP will not acknowledge the cancellation. DRP claimed to be the Land Owners which they are not as confirmed by the hotel.0

You should not be communicating with DRP at all. They are not a party to the contract you are alleged to have breached with (not so) Smart Parking.
As advised by @Coupon-mad, send copies of the emails from the hotel manager to (not so) Smart Parking and demand that they desist from any further contact and to get their useless debt collectors to stop harassing you.
Remind them that they are the monkey, not the organ grinder in their contractual relationship with the hotel.2 -
Great, I’ve sent copies of the emails to Smart Parking and asked the Hotel to contact Smart Parking again. Thanks for your help0

I’ll try and find it. It was firing one of the online conversations (pop up box) but I took pictures of the transcript. Hopefully I’ve still got them0

As above they state the hotel doesn’t own it and infer that Smart Parking do
