Hi everyone,
Bella, I know how you feel, life with little ones becomes such a whirl. We seem to have mirrored because Esther went to A and E at the weekend with breathing problems, luckily she didn't have to stay in after being given a dose of steroids.
Ruby, I'm sorry you are having such a worry with Rob, he seems such a lovely lad I hope he's ok.
TA, I'm glad you're feeling a bit better.
I had a lovely day with Esther yesterday, she was so happy and giggly but it's still hard work, especially as she wants to walk around all the time clinging to your fingers. I was exhausted by the time Laura was home. Her acupuncture practice is going from strength to strength, she had a patient give her a lovely testimonial on instagram last week she was so happy about the pain relief in her neck.
I made baked courgette risotto last night, it was the best it has ever turned out, really delicious although I don't know what I did that was different. Tonight will be aubergine and tomato pasta, after having lentil dal on Monday that will be the third veggie meal this week, I've gone off meat a bit for the moment, luckily everyone else is happy with veggie meals, if they want anything different they can make it themselves.
Have a good day.10 -
Afternoon everyone
Wild and windy here and quite chilly. I've been down to mam and dads this morning for a cuppa. I've got to go into town later - I have a contact lens check followed by my flu jab. I'm going to go in a bit earlier and have a look in the charity shops. My mam is expecting the district nurse at some point today to give my dad his flu and Covid jabs - she's already had hers.
Bella - sorry to hear your little grandson has been ill. I was going to make the same suggestion as Floss - unfortunately my DD has had a lot of experience of hospital parking charges. Once when little one was in hospital for a few weeks, DD got home and was getting letters every day saying she owed parking charges - she'd thought she didn't have to pay but it turned out her car registration hadn't been recorded properly. It was sorted but was another worry at the time. Another bug bear of mine is that parents staying in hospital don't get free meals on the ward. The canteen in the hospital my granddaughter is usually in is really expensive - the nurses say they can't afford to eat there!
I'd left all the bags for the charity shop tucked down the side of the house - when I came home they'd all gone, so that's some of the clutter away.
Better get sorted - I want to prepare my tea ready to just cook later. My flu jab usually gives me an instant headache so I want to be able to be lazy when I get back.
Have a good day everyone x10
