Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Still dark, was very mild and humid yesterday, we then had rain on and off in the afternoon and into the evening with some heavy showers later on.
Dinner was LO beef, yorkshires, veg and gravy - beef was excellent. Tonight not sure what we'll be eating.
Work was ok.
Keep safe and well x

Morning
Covid booster here today so planning a chill day. Mr Flamingo tends to feel rough the evening after and then the next day, so we're not scheduling anything in. Worthwhile for the protection thoughMarried 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.It seems to be ok weatherwise, still dark of course. Yesterday turned into a miserable day after a fine start. After dithering on for weeks about our sitting room curtains, I finally ordered some from N*xt, and they are coming today. I ordered 2 pairs for each side as it's a big bay window, so I'm hoping I can arrange them so it doesn't look like 2 curtains on each side, if you see what I mean. I've always made my own curtains, but these days it's cheaper to buy ready made. That's today's excitement, I hope they look nice after all the time it's taken to choose them, I got sick of looking at curtains.I havent read back on yesterday yet, but hope everyone is ok and that our poorlies are recovering.Take care folks.11

Morning folks. From what I can see it looks a bit damp out there so we must have had a bit of overnight rain. There is a chill in the air too.
After my period of solitary confinement normal life resumed yesterday! I got the bus into town to collect my meds, had a quick browse round £land and then it was time to catch the bus back up. Nothing very exciting but it was nice to get out again. Then middle DGD invited herself for tea after school (youngest was playing golf) As aways nice to see one or all of them! I miss the days when I was worn out looking after 3 little 'uns but I don't think I could do it now!!
I made progress with rebooking stuff too. Hairdresser coming Friday and flu jab booked for Saturday. Just covid jab to sort now but I wonder if it's a case of shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted?!
I really should make a start playing catch up on neglected jobs today but whether that happens remains to be seen! Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for the poorlies and MIA. It seems an age since we heard from TAFF and BELLA. Anybody heard from them? Take care all be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. Good morning folks.Yesterday was a lovely day until mid afternoon when the rain started. I got the washing load out on the line before I went to the exercise session. On the way I was held up for a wee while by a bunch of cows being moved. The farmer hadn't blocked off the track so I almost drove into them though managed to reverse into a passing space in time. 😀
This morning I've got an early appointment with the physio so will be off soon. Then I'll do the monthly banking, I did the weekly stuff yesterday.Flamingo - I hope that you're both OK after your jags. I have mine this week too.Scarlet - I'm sure that your curtains will be fine. Having two sets on a large window is much easier to manage.Hugs to all. Happy Tuesday to all.9 -
Morning all
Looks to be a nice day here although it’s chilly this morning, one chap coming today and he wants to go for a walk and then a browse of the shops, it’s his Birthday on Thursday so I have got him a pack of toy soldiers to paint as that’s his hobby.
I did not get on yesterday after a distressing call from Robs mum Sunday evening they have both been really poorly I suspect covid but she did a test which was negative but I am not sure she did it correctly, anyway she said they had no food in the house and she couldn’t get a delivery as Rob had broken her phone so she couldn’t get the one time passcode that she required, I had a very sleepless night worrying over Rob and him being hungry so yesterday morning I phoned her and said I would get her some shopping and drop it off, she rang me back with a list which consisted of bread, milk, Jaffa cakes, one tin of beans and some loo roll 🙄 nothing to make a meal out of at all, she said that they were not eating much as they were so poorly, anyway I got her stuff and dropped it off to them, I did not go anywhere near them as I don’t want to get whatever they have, but I am still worried he doesn’t have enough food 🙁
Dinner tonight will be fish fingers chips and beans nice and quick and easy. House is tidy I might need to hoover before my guest comes.
WL congratulations on the new baby xxx
Have good days all and take care xx9 -
TA do double check if you need to wait a certain amount of time after infection before the jabMarried 40y.o. mum of an autistic 11y.o. Carer/SAHM.

Morning all. We had heavy rain and thunder last night but all clear now.
I'm a bit cross this morning because the cheque I paid in at the automated machine in the bank yesterday seems to have been rejected. The same amount is showing on the online statement and then showing as Fail. I guess I'll have to go back up there this morning to sort it out, which is a nuisance.
Better news is that I'm now going to Bath for a dance event on Saturday so I've managed to book myself in to a P Inn at Chippenham for Friday night. I offered DH the chance to come with me but he turned me down(!) I must admit, it's not so much fun hanging around when you're not actually involved so I'm not surprised.
Finally cooked the Thai chicken curry last night and we have two decent portions in the freezer. Tonight will be salmon with assorted roasted veg. I'm not sure I like roasted aubergine but it needs eating up.
Hope everyone's day goes well. TA; I linked Taff into a message about a week ago to see if she was ok but never heard anything.10 -
FLAMINGO it's 4 weeks between infection and booster I checked x"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"10

Morning everyone
I woke early and then fell back asleep until just after 9. Nice bright day here again but a chilly wind - yesterday was the same. I'm going to have a sort through my clothes before work as one of our charity shops is picking some bags up for me tomorrow morning.
I rang Eon and changed both mine and mam and dads tariff - I did a 24 month one so I won't have to ring again for a while. Had a nice chat with the lady helping me - mainly about Martin Lewis!
Eldest DD should be almost home from her travels (again!) She's been to Sicily - it looks beautiful and the food looks amazing. A friend from Nuremberg lives there and is home on holiday so DD and 3 other girls from work went to visit - she's had a great time.
Right, I'd better get on otherwise it will be time for work and I'll have nothing done.
Taff was away in Italy wasn't she, or was it France?
Hope everyone has a good day x
