BT scam msg update

Been getting strange voice texts from a friends mobile number on 1571, the messages haven't actually been sent by friend. I cancelled 1571 on my phone as I have an answer phone, but, this morning at 4am, I got a call from 08456021111. The message is always the same.... a robotic female voice reads off my friends mobile number then says "Apparently some sessions can be (pause) scanned by any form of surveillance" I hung up and have now blocked the 0845 number. This has happened since calls on mobiles are no longer encrypted. Strange things have been happening to mobiles since that blooming alarm from the govt earlier in the year...

That is the number BT use to forward text messages sent to your landline number. You hear that robot voice because a computer has to convert text to speech. Are you sure your front is no accidentally texting to the wrong number?

I had a few of those a while back, because someone sent a text to my landline. (I suspect I filled in my landline number somewhere where it should have been a mobile)

If you don't answer, it keeps on ringing every hour or so in a desperate attempt to deliver the important message.

Getting a phone with call blocking sorted it out, as it can't press # to make my phone ring. (Neither can any of the autodiallers or call centre scammers)
