Minor moan about Peppa Pig world

Our family of four we to to Peppa Pig world on Sunday, and a good time was had by all.
My minor moan is that people under 1m tall are supposed to get free entry. My youngest is 99cm, so we didn’t book a ticket for him, but at the park they measured him in his fat-soled trainers, which take him over the 1m mark, and so we had to pay the “on the day” rate for him.
I suppose it’ll say somewhere that they are supposed to be measured in shoes, but if so I missed it.

You say that a good time was had by all . . . good, no problem then2

To be fair the website does say that children should be measured wearing shoes. 1cm was always going to be open to dispute.3

As long as the minor didn't moan0

When booking tickets for Paulton Park it does state
"Children under 1 metre are FREE!*Children under 1 metre in height do not require a ticket.
*Children must be wearing shoes when measured for height."

Does it work the other way round for minimum height rides etc?jon81uk said:When booking tickets for Paulton Park it does state

If there is a minimum height ride of 1.2 metres and the child is only 1.0 metre, can you put a pair of 20 cm thick soled shoes on the child?
I'm not entirely serious
A man walked into a car showroom.
He said to the salesman, “My wife would like to talk to you about the Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
Salesman said, “We haven't got a Volkswagen Golf in the showroom window.”
The man replied, “You have now mate".0 -
Must have been MM in it, seems petty to me."Always fulfil your needs, only fulfil your wants when your needs are no longer a concern" - citricsquid1

Of course its obvious you aren't being serious but the answer is yes and no, they will always measure in normal shoes/trainers but if a parent has obviously tried to use shoes to make them taller they will be measured without them. I did once read about a parent a Disneyworld getting found out putting a choc ice in each shoe to give their child the extra inch needed.Belenus said:

When our children were borderline for a height restricted ride we used to put a hat of some sort on them - very loosely! It usually gave them the extra cm they needed!0

At Gulliver's once I saw a woman put her daughter's hair up in a bun, with what I think were scrunchies inside, to add a good 4-5 cm to ensure she made the height.
