Ordered an item from amazon and pain over £7 express delivery. Expected arrival date was the 21st Dec.
On the 21st I checked the website, expected delivery 24th.
Got an email from them this morning, expected delivery 18th of january to 5th of february!!!!
Thanks Amazon, I'll let my nephew know that Santa has changed Christmas day to the start of Feb!

That's a very long delivery window they've given you! Have they given you the option to cancel? I had this last week, but it was from Amazon Marketplace. On the site it said it would ready for delivery in 1-2 days, got my confirmation e-mail confirming that delivery. Then I got another saying it wouldn't be sent out untul 10-14 days. I got the option to cancel, which I did, and then ordered it from Ebay, and it came within 3 days.0

Yes, I've cancelled it now. I've also sent the details to watchdog, don't think they'll be interested, buy hey!
I just don't think they should be selling items as "in stock" when they obviously don't have them. I'm gonna have one upset nephew now0 -
This happened to me too although it was only put back about a week-still wont arrive for xmas though. I think its very unfair to put the delivery date back AFTER you've ordered. If it hurts no-one, let it be :beer:0

I had the same experience as the original poster except that I got the e-mail telling me it would be late after receiving the e-mail to tell me the item had been dispatched so I can't even cancel.
The only reason I had chosen express delivery was because it was guaranteed to be delivered by the 24th. Otherwise I would have chose the supersaver option and waited.0 -
In addition, I currently can't track my order and it is saying the estimated delivery date is 24th Dec so I am keeping my fingers crossed.0

My item was delivered this morning. I'm pleased about this but am sorry for those that still have to wait. It seems they sent the e-mail to me by mistake. My brother (for whom the item is for) didn't think would be arriving today so he is in for a nice surprise when he gets home.0
