Cynergy withdrawal delay

Anyone else waiting for a Cynergy withdrawal to hit their nominated account? I requested one at 0945 and it still hasn't arrived. Usually they arrive within 5 mins.

Yep. 10:48. Still waiting. Their website was slow too so assuming they're having a few issues behind the scenes.

I noticed that too. It actually took me 3 attempts to process the withdrawal. Looks like I'm an hour ahead of you then.

Just called customer services and they said this is common on a Monday because they process all the weekends payments today. It will arrive by 5 is what they told me.

I smell a rat. Cynergy process withdrawals over the weekend, so there shouldn't be a backlog on Monday morning. I processed a withdrawal on Sunday morning about 8:15 and it was in my Current Account when I looked 15 mins later...

I thought that too. It seems strange that weekend withdrawals are pretty much instant but on Monday's they'd have a backlog of payments to sort out. I suppose it sounds better than to say we're having problems with our systems. Anyway, mine finally arrived at 1445 so took 6 hours.

On Friday (I think) their website was very laggy and took ages to log in and process a transaction so it does seem far more likely they were having system issues and weren't open enough to admit to it. At least the money showed up eventually. Hopefully you didn't miss any transfer deadline.

Not this time, funds were going to Ulster which is updated before I can log in. If all else had failed I would've used chip or tandem until tomorrow.

It's now October 7th 2024. Did a withdrawal early this morning - before 9.00am. Now 3.08pm and nothing to recipient bank yet. This bank has certainly lost its way. Their catchphrase is "Banking needn't be complicated" but they seem to go out of their way to make it so. I made the mistake of transfering an ISA to them - they got the money on 13/9/2024 and they still haven't sorted out the new account correctly either as regards interest rate or balance. What a shower!
