LF Aberdeen Income Focus

Good morning, looking for advice/opinions please. My partner and I hold shares in LF Aberdeen Income Focus Fund. It was originally a Woodford fund that collapsed after the Woodford fiasco. Its so long ago I cannot remember the original name. Anyway, I have just received a letter from HL indicating that LF are proposing to merge this fund with another of their funds (UK Income Equity Fund). I am given the choice to sell before the proposed merger, or hold my shares in the hope that they may bounce back. If we sell we will lose a considerable amount. Any thoughts please ?

Forget the past. Look forward.
Does the fund fit in with your wider portfolio and your partner's objectives. (its not a fund designed to be held by itself - nor was the woodford fund - it was designed to be part of your UK equity holdings).
