Hi
I went to Warwick to do some xmas shopping and had a flyer put on my car. by these guys here!
My car was just about up for the annual service so I gave them a call, I was gob smacked because I thought that I was tied into the dealership for servicing etc........ but apprently not..... I called the dealership I had my car from and asked them for a quote for a service, and this company did my service for me and I saved nearly 50% on labour!!
Sorry to sound a little sexist but being female, I was alway dubious about things like this cause I always think I'm gonna get ripped off, but they were real friendly, hence giving them a mention.......
also the flyer they'd put on my car gave me 10% discount off my service by quoting VTSMP1
http://www.citroenservice.co.uk/ is the website off the flyer the extra 10% discount code is VTSMP1
Hope it can help someone else, hope i'm not breaking the rules of discounts on the grabbit board, but a near 50% saving and an extra 10% I couldn't help posting it on here, will post on the discounts boards to
Hope this is of some use to someone

If you mean tied to the dealer because of he warranty then no... You just have to make sure ALL parts used are from the manufacturer of the car... SO if something happens to your engine and you try to get it repaired under warranty and you have had a non manufacturer oil filter (or any part no matter how small or insignificant) fitted then they can refuse the repair and void your warranty0

Hi
Thanks for that, lol you said it better than me
Yeah I was told by the dealership I purchased my car from that I could only have it serviced by them, or it would make my warranty void, I have been buying brand new pug's since 1998 every 2 years....... and paid time and time again through the nose for servicing, I thought that I was still tied to them, still ,
but as I say I spoke to these guys at VTS and they explained exactly what you said, that as long as it is genuine parts they use when servicing etc, then it will not mean that the warranty is void.... they do say on their website about it too (HERE)
They assured me that they it is only genuine parts they used on both citroen and peugeot cars and that they have been in business for a number of years.... I was just so impressed with the service not only to my car, but as a customer, I have recommended a few friends to them now and they have been impressed !!!!!
Just hope it'll help someone elseIf you like what I say please say thanks

I don't use main dealers for servicing, but I know some people who get funny about having a Full Main Dealer Service History when buying a nearly new car. Illogical I know if you can support the claim that correct parts have been used!0

Any company that needs to get business by putting flyers on cars should be treated with some trepidation.
If they are that good, they will not need to advertise in this way.
I sense a smidgen of spam about this post.:rolleyes:0 -

Thank you to the OP
I live in coventry, not to far from Warwick and I am a driver of a citroen zara picasso and yes I can understand fully what you mean about being a female driver and always running the risk of being " ripped off " by dealerships by being misinformed and cowboy outfits.
Finding a garage to carry out work on your car even down to basic servicing can be a bit daunting.
The reason why I am taking my car to this garage I am close friends to the managing director of the company, he took over this buisness recently after working for them, and the previous owner retiring.
They have been advertising around the area and local newspapers as under new management, So Spam I think not, trepidation for flyers, get your facts straight.
OP, well done for your post. Don't be put off by others
Inactive as for you post! judging by some of your comments on 2 others of yours I have just read

your comment of spam is unjust I think, sense a smidge of perhaps jealously or nothing better to do with your time "perhaps" ??
and roadhog there are lots of lovely places in warwick as pointed out! try visiting them!If we attempt nothing, then we can achieve nothing. But if we try and fail, we still can gain.0 -

TROLL, a joint Spam attack by the look of things.:rolleyes:0 -
Sorry this post has attracted negative attention. My aim was not to spam anyone, it was to pass on a saving and let other MSE'rs know about a company that had saved me money and had given me brilliant service. Also to pass on some information about not being tied to a dealership and having to pay thier prices.
I thought this is what this community was aboutIf you like what I say please say thanks

AA Autocentres are cheap, use quidco and if you have a Tesco Club card or AA card you get about a third off. I have a Peugeot and prefer to get it serviced at the dealer, yes it costs a few more quid but it really does help with the resale value. Also if you're car is 3+ years Citroen/Peugeot do discount services, I used to get a petrol xsara serviced for £90 from WR Davies in Stafford, got a diesel 307 and thats only £170 for a full service, best advice is phone around your local dealers, their prices will vary by loads.
Something cheesey about this thread lolLive slow, Die old lol0
