Repointing roof valley

Hi,
We had a roofer came out to try and fix a leak, which we suspect was due to our roof valleys.
They re-pointed the valley, and applied some cromapol acrylic waterproofing coating to one of them, but have left quite significant gaps at the ends (as seen in the photos below).
They are stating that they these gaps will not cause any leaks or issues, but prior to making payment to them, I wanted to see if there were any roofers on here that could give an opinion?
Thanks,

The "gaps" you mention seem to be in areas of the roof which are outside the walls to the house, so surely the risk of leaks will be low. If it stop the leaks, then they have done what you have asked them to do, but I am no roofer.
