I don't think I'll ever understand the cutting off your nose to spite your face community.3

Not enough but it sure beats a coffee or getting a tree planted0

OP,other than the perceived bribe,do you have any specific reason for not having them?,I've no feeling either way really, just nosy.
Realistically refusals only going to remain an option for so long,so why not potentially benefit from it,in the meantime and going forward,"bribe" or not?.
To be blunt OP,at some point you'll have to,like everyone else, wether you,or they like it or not.

You obviously have a computer and mobile phone to do all the money saving surveys/cashback sites which already collect your data endlessly.
So intrigued, what is it you have against smart meters?

So intrigued, what is it you have against smart meters?People tend not to post to say "I had smart meters installed last year and they're fine. I don't even have to read them any longer."Then you get the more attractive tariffs as well, so you'll have the chance to pay less for your utilities than with non-smart meters. My only problem with a meter change was many years ago when my electricity meter was changed for another (non-smart) one and the old reading didn't get passed through to my account with the supplier. It was sorted out when they realised I couldn't have used £5,000 worth of electricity in one day.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the In My Home MoneySaving, Energy and Techie Stuff boards. What would be 'funny' is if you switched back and Eon had the same problem again.I'm not an early bird or a night owl; I’m some form of permanently exhausted pigeon.0 -

Whereas the people who already have one get nothing.Really? Less than 6 months, over the summer you've saved over £100 on a TOU tariff? What tariff is that? How have you calculated the saving?
