Morning everyone
It's a calmer day today - yesterday it was windy - and the sun is meant to pop out later, so I might get some tidying in the garden done later. My little helper will be here so she can 'help.'
Gers I keep meaning to ask if you watch 'Geordie Hospital' ? I really enjoy it. I'm also loving the programme about the Duchess of Northumberland - 'The duchess and her magic kingdom.'
I have the morning to myself so will get the floors hoovered and my little bit ironing done. I haven't seen little one since Tuesday with being ill, so she'll be full of chat. She'll stay tonight so DD can get a decent nights sleep.
This morning when I put my contact lens in my right eye it felt uncomfortable, when I looked in the mirror I had a little bit blood in my eye. Quickly googled and it seems that as long as it's on the white bit it's nothing to worry about. I'm due an eye test so I'll get an appointment to get it checked. I've put my glasses on - I hardly wear them so I've realised they need tightened a bit. I have a pair for reading and a pair for distance so that's going to get a bit annoying!
Talking about bed hair - when little one stayed last weekend, I got up and went to the loo, glanced in the mirror and I looked like I'd had an electric shock! I went back through saying 'I don't know what's happened to my hair in the night'. Little one - 'Do you like it granny, I combed it up while you were sleeping!'
Right I'd better get on. Hope everyone has a good day today x

Hi everyone,
We had a midnight adventure last night. Laura had been to London for a work event and all the trains to our local station were cancelled so we went to pick her up from Luton (only 35 minutes away). When we got back Esther woke and was wheezing badly, it was quite frightening so we raced off to a and e. It turned out to be croup and after a dose of steroids she was much better. Apparently they no longer tell you to put them in a steamy room as they did when Laura was a baby. We're all feeling a bit jaded today, except for Esben who slept through. Today will entail quite a bit of TV watching I think.
TA, I hope you start to feel better soon.
Have a good day.9 -

@IzzyBee I had the pleasure of visiting Sycamore Gap when I walked Hadrian's Wall with DSis back in 2019. Such senseless vandalism. I heard an article on R4 last night about a company that can transplant mature trees and they'd been approached - cost of £100k though!2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

Morning all
Lovely bright day here wm is nearly finished so the washing can be hung out, last night we got very cold sitting watching the TV so we lit the log burner within 1/2 hr we were all far too hot 🥵 so we will wait a while longer before doing it again.
Not sure about dinner tonight I had planned on duck I got a whole one in Lidl a while ago but I forgot to get it out of the freezer so that will have to do another day.
Plans for today are to go through the house cleaning we all do a bit so it won’t take long, then get the dogs out for a good walk, I am another one who doesn’t watch Strictly I much prefer a good horror film.
TA thinking of you today xxx
Have good days all and take care xx7 -
