Any idea why my email has changed on kindle?

so the other day my kindle fire (aged) loaded a different shortcut picture for my outlook email.
Instead of the blue it's the microsoft coloured squares - and its refusing to let me in on Privacy issues.
It says its not an https and net.err.cert.authority invalid.
but if I copy the link it comes up with the https ok.
I can access it by the favourites link on my laptop as normal.
I've tried to bring up a search for hotmail so I can use a link direct but a search won't give me anything I can sign in to either.
Really annoying because I use it for social or trades as a quick way to check for any changes to arrangements. Cranking up the old laptop of a morning is a pain.
Any ideas really welcome.

I had the same thing last week, except mine is gmail. The bookmark took me to an old html version with limited features e.g. Could not attach. I had to add my gmail to the Amazon Fire email app in settings which I hadn't wanted to do as you have to agree to Amazon having access to your emails but I couldn't find a way around and I only have my tablet or work laptop.1

Oh darn! I've managed to use the kindle sans signing up to Amazon.
I've tried all sorts of links in the hope I could just delete and add a new link.
Each and every one was declared not to be https but they all were. Didn't give me the option to bypass either.
I used to use amazon for a lot but it's so devious and controlling now I go elsewhere.
Looks like a new tablet is in order.
Glad I'm not on my own though. And thank you for the explanation.I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!
