Occasionally when I start playing a recording on my Sky Q box I fast forward the first few minutes of rubbish at the beginning of the recording and when I start playing again there is no sound coming from my TV, a Sony Bravia and the only way to get the sound to return is to switch off the TV and switch it on again and usually this fixes it.
This happens occasionally and I cannot figure out when or where this will happen.
Sometimes when I fast forward through the adverts in the middle of a programme it will happen though I only recall a couple of times in the past 2 years it has done this then.
However last night I was watching Lower Decks on Paramount + via my Sky Q box and no matter what I did I could not get any sound while playing Lower Decks yet with any other programme on Paramount + I got sound.
This is the first time this has happened on Paramount +
I even pulled the plug out for the Sky Q box and TV but this did not fix it.
Any ideas what could be going on?

Normal 'loss of sound' during trick play:
Switch TV input away from Q, wait a few moments and switch back to $kyQ hdmi input. {Any other input (Freeview TV tuner, perhaps) should do}.
This forces the TV and $ky box to do a hdmi handshake, and also the sound/vision decoders to resync the data streams.
There should be no need to switch TV to standby and back on (though it effectively performs the same hdmi handshake process). Power cycling is worse for the TV than switching inputs.
The odd one was possibly a Paramount+ playout error?0
