Last minute.com / Malaysia Airlines Scam

I booked a flight on lastminute.com and was told my booking would include 10kg of checked in baggage. I then went onto Malaysia airlines and found my booking and there was no baggage (I now have to pay close to £300 for checked baggage) I have heard of others that have experienced the same scam from them. Has anyone got any advice or experienced the same thing?
Basically if I want a refund last minute.com will allow me to request one but won’t tell me if I’m eligible/how much I receive until I actually cancel the flight; which Surley cannot be legal?

There should be a full refund available to you if they don't deliver what they promised to - if Lastminute refuse to provide this (or to add the baggage allowance you believed you'd paid for, if that's a better resolution) then you ought to be able to claim via a card chargeback.
I don't think I've ever heard of a 10kg checked baggage allowance though, never mind one that would cost £300!

10kg is more likely to have been the carry on allowance. The OP says 'they were told' by Lastminute, do they have anything in writing to that effect?

Looking at their website, their cheapest published fare class (Economy Lite) does seem to include a 10kg hold baggage allowance:

There doesn't appear to be anything on Malaysia Airways site about any class of ticket having a 10kg checked allowance.
Economy gets 7.5kg cabin allowance and then paid for 23kg checked luggage which can have an additional 10kg uplift as a paid option.
Have you got evidence of this 10kg checked allowance?0 -

a dummy booking on the MH website from LHR-KUL shows the cheapest Lite fare has 10kg hold luggage (and is non-refundable.)
Have you spoken to Malaysia Airlines? the 10kg hold luggage is a new thing so maybe systems have not been updated
" Effective, 12 September 2023, the Lite Fare will also incorporate a checked-in baggage allowance of 10kg. "
