Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Still dark, air is cooler but dry at the moment.
Dinner last night was mixed herb chicken, potato dauphoise and broc. Tonight I'm not sure. Have a busy day today so will crack on with my "to do" list.
Keep safe and well x

Thanks for starting NMLC, enjoy your days off.Don't know what the weather is doing today, but yesterday was a dark dreary day, awful. No plans except housework, bit of sewing, and a bit of shopping.Thinking of our poorlies, TA, DP1, and anyone else who is not well.Take care folks.11

Morning allWet outside this morning but forecast says it will brighten up after 8am. Hope so as I've a load of washing to put out to dry. Off out to rush round getting some food shopping so I'm back in time for my hairdresser for a cut and colour. Rather rush round nice and early than go out later amongst the crowds. Bonus of being a morning person I suppose! Apart from that not alot going onHope everyone has a good day and the poorlies are feeling better x10

Morning All
Thanks for the start nmlc.
Breezy out this morning and dry for now, I'll put washing on the pulley and may put it out for a while when I get home if it's still dry.
Nice day with the little one yesterday, she ate a lot and we played a lot after we had been for a bit of shopping. We cut back some things in DDs garden - I had a pair of kitchen scissors and she had her play dough scissors - it was slow going!
Definitely ask for help with the transport costs Ruby, I thought that would be standard.
I hope the poorlies are feeling better today.
Back to work today, nice doing a one day week! Only a couple of weeks then we have half term. I would imagine we will be a little low on pupil numbers today, I know some folk booked a last minute holiday as school has been closed all week.
Happy Friday, take care. XX10 -
Morning folks. I have been an intermittent poster this last week but at last I am feeling more myself. Although a test I did first thing is still showing a clear positive line. I haven't been further than the recycling bin all week so hoping by tomorrow I will be able to escape.
The vets rang to say Sparkle's ashes casket was back with them and ready to collect. I asked DD if she was able to collect them which she duly did and we did a doorstep swap over. It's a beautiful little casket ( at eye watering cost) and upset me all over again. I shall never stop missing her.
I might attempt a few very light duties this morning, but I might not. There is only me here to see the bits and the dust so it doesn't really matter,
Have a good day folks if you can and be safe from this blooming virus, it's a bad strain this time round. Take care all xx

Morning all and thanks for the start nmlc x
I too was up early @Chrisca50 to colour my own hair. I used to have a cut and colour (for £90) but the roots were back within 3 weeks - same as a DIY kit, so now I save myself the money!
Aw @TravellingAbuela glad that Sparkle is back with you. She will live on in your heart. Good to hear you're feeling a bit better x
I am walking with my bereaved friend at lunchtime and out for a quick drink with some friends tonight. Will only have diet drinks as it's fat club tomorrow morning. I'm determined to stay in target! Dinner tonight is baked fish and SW chips.
Hugs to all our poorlies x

Good morning folks.Whilst I may have escaped the wrath of Storm Agnes completely the rains started last night and now high winds have joined in. Not a storm but still pretty unappealing. Yesterday was a fairly nice day, no rain at all. I went to my exercise class then put my rinsed towels and swimming costume out on the line to dry. Once again I got water in my right ear, it's so annoying, so stretched out on my sofa on my right side until it eventually popped.Today I have no plans yet.TA - another sad day for you. There's no need to do anything remotely like housework yet. I hope that you can remember the funny times with Sparkle whilst you gently heal.Ruby - what a cheek that mum had! Damn right that you should be getting mileage allowance for pick up and returning Rob.I hope that everyone is doing well. Happy Friday to all.9

Morning everyone I won’t say good I shed a few tears over the tree at sycamore gap I’m sorry but that says everything that is wrong with society I absolutely despair I won’t say what I think should happen to them or I will be banned I’m afraid I’m not good company this morning I’m off now to do my volunteering at the food waste hopefully I will feel a bit better when I’m finished. TA I’m thinking about you I know what it’s like to lose a much loved pet but they are always live on in your heart ❤️. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing10

Morning everyone
Thanks for good wishes - the antibiotics have started to quick in and I'm feeling a bit better. My doctor also gave me neck exercises to do which are helping too.
Izzy I totally agree - it just seems so stupid, why on earth would a 16 year old cut a tree down? He wasn't going to gain anything from it. I really don't understand it.
I'll go down to mam and dads this morning to have a cuppa and do his banking. Other than that it will be a quiet day. I pottered yesterday and got the dvds sorted - the ones I'll keep are in a big box, a lot more bagged up for the charity shop and a few boxed sets ready to be listed on Ebay. The front bedroom looks a lot tidier. I'm still looking for a pine cupboard or bookcase to go in the living room - DD will take me up to our big Salvation Army shop tomorrow to have a look. We'll take the DVds and other bits too.
Pleased to hear you're feeling better TA .
Coxy - I plan to put a dye on my hair today too - I look like a badger.
Better get on, I hope everyone has a good day x9 -
Morning all; bright and sunny here at the moment.
It's a busy day today as the repair man should be back again to try and fix the dishwasher but I need to be in the kitchen as I have a veggie lasagne and a cheesecake to make for our son in law's birthday get together tomorrow.
I wouldn't be surprised if we end up ordering a new dishwasher but keeping my fingers crossed it can be fixed today.
We had lunch out yesterday to use up one of DH's Tesco Reward vouchers; we only had a spaghetti type main course each and a mini pudding but still had to spend an extra £25 on top of the voucher as prices had gone up so much.
Tonight's dinner might be a broccoli and cauliflower cheese bake with jacket potatoes or it might be a shared portion of fish and chips from the shop; depends on how well the day has gone!
Happy Friday everyone.8 -
Morning all, it's dry today at last. I got lots done yesterday but then I hurt my hip so I am in pain and got very little sleep last night. Anyway all I shall be doing today is 2 loads in the wm and hanging it out with Mr Fix It's help, everything else can wait. I think there's a lasagne in the freezer so that will be tea sorted.
TA hugs and I'm glad you're feeling better.
Coxy I've decided to embrace the grey after 20+ years of home colouring.
Izzy I'm sad about the tree too, looks like they took a chain saw to it ! Why?
Gers I hate swimmers ear, but I get it from the shower.
Take care and stay safe all
