Just logged on to my account to submit my eletctric meter reading. British gas have estimated the reading far lower than the actual reading. I assume as they have decided to estimate the reading before the month end I don't have to inform the they have made a mistake?

Why not? You will save nothing as prices from 1st October are lower. You will also end up with a catch up bill the next time actual readings are used.Iamgorilaz said:Just logged on to my account to submit my eletctric meter reading. The thing is that they have estimated my bill 160 units below what it should be. I realise that I will have a catch up bill but those 160 units will be at the lower rate. Decided to bite the bullet and submit a revised reading. Not worth the aggro when I submit the next reading

Ok, but the benefit to you would be 160( old unit rate - new unit rate). Also, when your supplier gets an actual meter reading it may well reverse your old charges and estimate a new reading for the 30th September. Is it worth it to save very little?Iamgorilaz said:[Deleted User] said:
