YBS - Regular Saver, money return

I made a payment to my regular saver a first payment of £1 and then today another for £500, forgetting that I had already put in £1 and can only put in £500 a month.
The website says:

The maximum deposit is £500 per calendar month. If you deposit more than £500 in any calendar month, we will return the overpayment within 10 working days.
Will YBS return the full £500 payment or just the amount that is over, so the £1? Has something similar happened to anyone else?
