Hi I live in a on bedroom flat. I have complained a number of times to Octopus about my bills. My home smart display usually finishes on about £39. My bill is usually about £90.
They told me the smart meter display is only a rough guide. Rough guide????
I am all electric and I turned all my heaters off. No heating whatsoever and I get a bill this high.Only cooking and watching TV. I asked for a meter check. They are sending someone some time.0 -

Then add some meat to the post such as what you actual meter readings are. Not what the in home display says.Life in the slow lane0 -
What tariff are you on? The IHD will only show true costs if the supplier has sent the correct tariff information to the two meters. For some of its tariffs, Octopus sets an average unit price.gishwish said:Hi I live in a on bedroom flat. I have complained a number of times to Octopus about my bills. If you want accurate costs, then go to the app Octopus Watch. This app accesses your Octopus energy account not your smart meters.

gishwish said:They told me the smart meter display is only a rough guide. Rough guide????Your in-home device is not used for billing. It is, as Octopus state, a rough guide.Your smart meter is screwed to the wall.gishwish said:My home smart display usually finishes on about £39. My bill is usually about £90.Your bill is about £90? Or your Direct Debit is about £90?Exactly what does it say on your bill? How many kWh of electricity have you used during the month? Are the readings actual or estimates? Do you have a split rate tariff like Economy 7?

If it's not bookmarks, you'll have to go to your settings and uncheck notifications 'from threads I've commented on'. That then means you would need to bookmark threads for which you do want notifications.QrizB said:
