New driver car insurance

Good morning,  my daughter is due to take her driving test next Wednesday (fingers crossed for her) will she have to wait until then to get quotes for insurance or can she start looking now even though she wouldn`t be able to confirm she has a full driving licence.

Grateful for any advice, thank you

what is her current insurance arrangement?

She can get quotes but cannot accept them until she knows that she has passed. If she already has her own full insurance then there are other reasons why it may be better to see that policy through than cancel mid term.

In case you aren't aware, a recently qualified driver is much more expensive to insure than a learner.

Thank you for your reply, she currently has Veygo learner driver insurance and it covers her up to Wednesday when she takes her test.
I do appreciate that newly qualified driver insurance is going to be very expensive, just wanted to make sure it was ok for her to get some quotes so she has an idea what to expect.  She is 26 and if possible doesn`t want a black box so is aware that premiums will be higher than if she opted to have one fitted.
