Excel Appeal

Hi,

so currently working my way through the threads. Got an Excel parking PCN.

On their appeals page, how do you answer Applicant type? I don't want them to know I'm the owner.

No-one will be interested in the owner's identity.

Does Applicant Type have predetermined answers?
If so what are the choices?

Have you read the opening post on the NEWBIES thread yet?
I think you'll find that will answer most of the questions you'll have at this time.

Why don't you tell us a little about the parking event and what the driver is accused of doing wrong?

Yes, the driver, owner, hirer, then legal representative and lay representative.

Accused of not displaying a ticket. The person thought there would be 15mins grace while they parked in a university car park. However it seems they were wrong.

Was the driver loading or unloading?  Or picking up or setting down a passenger?

If you were unloading, were you doing this as part of your job, for example delivering to the university or as a student?  What happened when you read the NEWBIE sticky and saw Plan A, complain to the University?  What did they say?

As a student and awaiting a response from the union.

    Registered keeper.

State that the driver will not be named but they were briefly unloading heavy books.  Unloading is not a period of parking, as is confirmed by the DLUHC in their statutory Code of Practice dated February 2022 which is set in stone and will not change (save for revisiting the extortionate greed matters).

    Yes I have now
  • A complaint has gone to the student union, not sure who else to speak to.
