Not genuine Royal Mail Stamps

Options
I returned my non barcoded stamp back to Royal Mail but received a letter stating that unfortunately they wouldn't swap out my stamps as they had either been used or were not genuine Royal Mail stamps.
OMG, the first class stamps we're still in the book that I bought them in so how are the counterfeit stamps. Whilst I can understand the one 2nd class stamp being mistaken as used as I had attached to blank envelope then realised date for using had passed, so I sent it with the booklet of first class stamps.
Has any else experience this, I'm so angry and eo is the retailer I purchased them from.

  • A few people have experienced it on the long thread about nonbarcoded stamps expiring.  There's nothing you can do, unfortunately, and people have even had that for stamps they purchased from the Post Office.

RM won't tell you why they think they're used or counterfeit because doing so would help any forgers or reusers improve their stamps/processes and give them more chance to go undetected.  Obviously you're not a forger but they don't know that.
