Hello all, it's just grey here and the floor is damp.
I slept very well last night and had a lovely long lie in this morning, seems cooking for the DGC mixed with my new meds fair wore me out !😁
This morning I have to empty the dw and fill it up again then the dining room chairs need attention. Mr Fix It will make a start and then will need a hand with recovering. No idea as to tea today but there's some pasta salad left over so I maybe able to find something to go with that in the freezer.
TA glad you're feeling a bit better.
Anyone seen taff lately ? I know she was going away but it seems to be ages since she last posted. If you're reading along taff I hope you are having a great time with your DSis.
Hugs to anyone in need

Morning All
Kind of nothing weather here, it must have been cold overnight as there was a fair amount of condensation on the windows - one thing I really hate! It's the calm before the storm I think, we are due terrible weather later on.
Washing is on the line, hopefully the wind will start to blow soon before the rain comes. The bedding may have to go in the TD later. Spare bed is now made up again now I've ironed everything. I've been for a walk to the post office and bought a few supplies. These forced days off remind me of lockdown, it's so easy to just sit and do nothing.
Yesterday was very busy, lots of jobs done in the morning then a trip to the Company Shop (hadn't realised I would qualify) for some bargains with my neighbour. We also called at Dunlem where I bought some new living room curtains - the ones I bought last year fanned out at the bottom and really annoyed me. Also bought some new curtains for the hall, the ones from there have gone into my bedroom and look much better. Dug out the front door curtains too. All this ironing and climbing ladders left me worn out!
Today I'm going to oil all the doors and windows ready for the winter, this afternoon may be spent catching up with missed TV programmes.
Sorry to hear JackieO is unwell, get well soon Jackie.
Glad you have your car back Gers.
Pleased to hear the poorlies are feeling better today.
Enjoy your Wednesday, take care. XX

Hi everyone,
I'm finding it very difficult to find a window to post atm, I can read the thread but often it's late at night.
We got back from Jersey around midnight on Monday and then I had Esther all day yesterday and then both the children from 6.00 last night. Esben was asleep by 6.45 but poor Esther couldn't settle to sleep without mummy. She tried, bless her, she kept putting her head down on me but she couldn't go off until Laura got home at 9.00.
Both children were tired and grumpy this morning because Esben woke very early after his early night. His hearing was very bad, if he was turned away from us we had to say his name very loudly to get his attention. He's being referred to ENT.
Our lovely relaxing break seems a distant memory now, time to strat planning the next trip.
Have a good day.8 -
Hi everyone and thanks for the start @nmlc. I hope your family member is home from hospital soon x
DD says she should get paid on Friday for the first 9 days, and thereafter weekly in arrears. I will believe it when I see it given how much financial strain schools are under!
I put a load of washing on this morning and DH pegged it out as I’m in the office today. Managed to miss my train by 30 seconds! Dinner tonight is slow cooked mushroom risotto.
Glad you got your car back @Gers 😊
Oh @TravellingAbuela you don’t sound good at all. Please do rest up xx
Hope the GP can help @dp1 x I too would rather CS my CDs/DVDs than faff about boxing them up for pennies!
You’ve hit the ground running then @snoozer – yes time to plan the next trip away!
Hope all those with Storm Agnes aren’t inconvenienced at all. Stay safe and well xx
