Where to sell private number plate

Hi, my mum no longer has a car and wants me to sell her private number plate but I have no idea where to start. I Googled it and approached a couple of companies but that just resorted in lots of spam emails. Just getting a valuation would be a start, does anyone know of any reputable companies? Thanks, Sam

If you have the number on a retention certificate any of the major players you will find in a search will sell it on commission.

Only if it is very rare will they offer to buy it for their stock.

You will get an estimated valuation and be able to see the listed price on their website.

There was a little bit of haggling involved once they had an offer, I held out for the amount I wanted.

They do not tell you the actual selling price, just how much you receive after they take their cut.
