Did you also send a letter?
Don`t bother following this up further.
Does this email seem they have accepted the no contact in person? Or do they not need to 'accept' this?0 -

Waste of time sending recorded, mail gets delivered to these companies in bulk, so your letter will likely just get thrown in with the bulk mail anyway.
Honestly these threats of home visits are used as leverage to get you to ring them, in the majority of cases, nothing happens, even if they do call, most of the time they don`t even knock, just post a contact card, so you can "get in touch", its all smoke and mirrors to get you to pay up, I`d just ignore the lot of em and go about your business.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards. Hi @CurlyTop11, just for some reassurance - I stopped paying Lendable in May 2022. I actually have a current affordability complaint in with the FOS as they gave me a 10k loan only 2 months after I'd had another 10k loan.
So far they've done nothing, they haven't sold it on, nor have they really contacted me, certainly not had anyone at the door. I pay them £5 a month. They didn't default me until 12 months after I stopped paying.

Total Debt £44,853.18
Emergency Fund: £1250/£1000

I didn’t start paying them until after; they did chase a few times and I got to a point where I replied to an email requesting they default my account as per the ico guidance and once I could see that default I’d start to pay - unsurprisingly they were quick to sort it out then. (I want the defaults off my record as soon as they possibly can be for remortgage purposes)1st Jan 2024

I have now received the below email from them, which is from an actual person:Thank you for getting in touch to let us know and we apologise for the delay in response as we are facing high customer demand. We can put your account on hold for 30 days in anticipation of a proposal on your behalf. Before we do this, are you able to provide the company name and the reference number please? If you do not have this within 30 days, or would like to discuss an extension, please give us a call on 0203 322 1948, or email us here.
Obviously, if I am doing this self-managed, I won't have a company or reference number to give them. Do I just say this to them or could this cause other issues?
Many thanks0 -

Hi all,
I have now received my first default notice which says payment should be made by 15th December otherwise will be defaulted and/or sold on etc.
I assume I still just ignore this as this is just a part of the process? Then once I officially have the default, that is when I start to pay?
Thanks0 -
Yes ignore at the moment, wait until you receive the actual default. I hope you have checked it is enforceable? If you go down to the woods today you better not go alone.0
