Student Account - rejected without Uni code

My daughter (18) has just started a 2 year course at a College (it is also a uni, but her 2 year course isn't a degree). The Student bank accounts seem to want UCAS codes. Does this mean she isn't eligible for a student account. Seems a bit discriminatory that she lives away from home and has all the expenses and banking needs of a Uni student, but can't seem to get a student account.

What level / qualification is the course ? Santander student accounts for instance are not limited to degree courses and offer a list of different proofs to enable the student account.
