Travel insurance query

My wife and l are going abroad next week and so l went on go compare to get Travel insurance as l did last year, but my wife has arthritis in both knees and in the last few months had injections in the knees to see if this relived the pain which it doesnt so he had referred her for a X-Ray which is after our hoildays.
So on the on line form l put down she was waiting on a treatment or investigation diagnosis and after completing the on line form it came up with no travel insurance available.
Can somone please tell me who will do travel insurance for my wife , l suspect it will be more even though we know its arthritis and the doctors are sending her to have a X-Ray to comfirm .
Would it be better/ cheaper if we did seperate travel insurance , l take out the travel insurance we usually booked with and my wife booked with one that will except the waiting diagnosis or we booked together on her travel insurance..

Are they anticipating the X-Ray to be the basis of a diagnosis of a different condition or just part of the routine management and unfortunate progression of a degenerative disease?
Assuming its the later I'd personally rerun quotes declaring the condition but not ticking yes to awaiting investigation etc. Once you've selected your preferred insurer and BEFORE buying telephone them up and speak to them about the situation, they will probably pass you through to the medical screening team. In most cases insurers are worried about an undiagnosed problem rather than the monitoring of a declared one.0 -
Comparison sites generally only del with straightforward cases.
Phone some companies and explain the position.
My husband was due a test after our holiday, the insurance refused cover at first but once he explained what the test was for they agreed to cover him.0
