HSBC 0% No Fee Credit Card - September 2023

Hi,

Does anyone have the details of the HSBC 0% No Fee 16 months Balance Transfer Card offer that was on this site a few weeks ago.

I might be going mad but i'm sure it was No fee on balance transfers, but with a shorter term.  I made a transfer yesterday and i'm sure the app said no fee, but today i've tried another and its saying 2.90%.

I might be mistaken, but I can't help thinking i would have taken a longer term option but i was attracted to the no-fee.

HSBC were not helpful on the webchat.

Thank you.

  • Check the Ts&Cs they sent when they approved your application or issued the card.

They're just very generic and don't list the special offer.
  • I took advantage for 16 months and completed 4 balance transfers over the course of a few days.
I repay just above the minimum monthly payments, will do it for 15 months, and have paid no fees whatsoever.

I got this one too - you've 60 days to submit your balance transfers for them to be no fee.   The 60 days starts from the day you applied (not when you received/activated your card)
  • Having said the above.... I did a second balance transfer and they've applied the 2.9% fee.   I've called them and disputed it.

You'll find your T&Cs in the app - click the head top right then "my documents".  My T&Cs clearly say 0% interest and 0% balance transfer fee for the first 60 days.
  • Just to follow up incase anyone else is having the same issues:

In the App, my documents only shows a "welcome to internet banking" pdf.

My first transfer went through without any fees, then to make the 2nd one it came up with 2.9%.  I spoke with HSBC and they explained it was a glitch / error.  The advised me to make the 2nd transfer and the fees would be applied, then to call them back the next day and they will refund the transfer fee.  It took a while but they have actioned it, so all good.

It is definitely 0% interest and Zero Fees.
