Hello, I have been a victim of fraud, i bought the tickets for qatar airways online, and the person was using the name of the website e-dreams due to which the person asked our card details and I told the person and paid for the tickets of £800. my conversation with the person was on whatsapp and after the payment he blocked me from everywhere. we filed the case of fraud in santender but they said they couldnt help so now we have filed for charge back as we didnt receive the tickets.
its been 20 days and santendar is not very fast in returning money. are there any chances i can get my money back?

Unlikely if you gave your card details to a random bloke on WhatsApp to use.
Was it not a warning sign that a website wanted to take payment over WhatsApp?0 -
Banks have to cover some of the silly things customers do but not all of them. I'd say thankfully because at the end of the day banks pay for it out of what the rest of us pay them but I am aware that almost anyone can ultimately fall for a scam.
You dont say how you randomly started talking to a person on WhatsApp claiming to represent a Travel Agent nor why you thought this was standard operating procedures but in principle if you can substantiate what you claim you paid them for and that it wasnt delivered then a chargeback, rather than fraud claim, should be successful.0 -
Can't find it now but I'm sure I have heard about this before on here.

Not sure if that's the one you are thinking off but it sounds materially different to this which appears to be someone passing off as an established travel brand and the OP engaged in a non-traditional way.0 -
Raise a complaint with Santander that they've not processed the charge back yet0

Don't use WhatsApp for payments0
