Universal credit and sickness

I am really struggling with my mental health and my doctor has signed me off. I don't think I get paid at work, would they make up my universal credit or am I going to have even more stress added to me

Are you enttiled to SSP from your employer? https://www.gov.uk/statutory-sick-pay/eligibility

Have you also reported your health condition for UC and provided a fit note? With no earnings then your UC will increase to your maximum UC entitlement, how much that is will depend on your circumstances. You should kinow what your maximum UC entitlement is by your statements because it will tell you all the elements you're entitled to.

As @poppy12345 says above, it's important to declare your health condition on your UC claim and provide a fit note to UC as well as your employer. Once your reported earnings drop on UC, they will expect you to attend regular appointments at the jobcentre and undergo a Work Capability Assessment (WCA). They will be better able to support you if you have declared your health condition and are providing fit notes from your GP.
