Yes snowball method always says pay smallest debt first for momentum, whereas avalanche method focuses on paying off your one with highest interest rate first. Looking at both options there doesn't seem to be much difference in terms of interest saved when comes to making regular overpayments but paying off a big chunk seems to suggest pay off loan first. I also feel like repaying loan keeps me more motivated to make overpayments then credit card does.

Well it seems the decision to start a new thread has been taken out of my hands as sadly it has come to my attention that a person in my real life has found my thread. There are some things I have been very open and honest about on here which I don't want people knowing. Sadly changing usernames isn't possible, so I am going to be starting a new account and thread and requesting this one and previous one be deleted once new email address/username has been authorised. I am a bit sad its come to this but it seems my username is how they found me, so clearly I need to be a bit better with future choices.

Really sorry to read this, your diary has been a big help especially your thought processes. I am glad you are not giving up x

Oh no! I'd hate that, as we as a group give lots of detail that we wouldn't necessarily share IRL.
I'm glad for you that you're not at the beginning of your DF journey, but it's still so very hard to give up all the details. Is there a way of you downloading the thread to a password protected document, just for your own reference?
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?0 -
Oh, that’s a good idea, I will pm you now in case the thread disappears.
I’m loving life as a size 12 as a result of your medexpress share code, can’t lose you now in case you share how to rewind 25 years of ageing 🤣
