Yay the £51 credit is back on the card. I'm still waiting for Evr1 to turn up to pick up the big parcel. Their email said I'd get an email with an approximate time but nothing received. Just having to wait around, the weather is pretty shocking so can't do anything in the garden.

Maybe I'll put some items on vinted, so that I'm not just sat doing nothing. Also could do some shredding as well.

I'm feeling a bit better and managed to sleep better last night so want to try and actually do some bits today. Feeling poorly wasn't how I was expecting to spend my week off.

Not sure if today will be a no spend day or not, I'm hoping for it but already have some stuff I need. Hopefully can wait until tomorrow as I'm having haircut tomorrow so know it will be a spends day anyway.

Well I didn't do much in the end yesterday. Parcel was picked up about 4.30pm in the end. Such as waste of a day. Oh well.

Today I went and did a top up food shop, used £12 of vouchers which transferred to the credit card pot and paid the difference.

Then went and had my haircut, was a new lady so was very nervous and decided to cut it all off in end haha. So now have a choppy relaxed bob. Had lots of compliments so that's nice. She also only charged me £10. I was expecting like £20-25 depending what category she put me in. So I transferred another £10 from health and beauty pot to credit card pot as that's what I was expecting to pay anyway.

Then it was bbq at my brothers for sis in laws amd nephews birthday. Which was nice. We've been discussing going halves on a Costco card as I found out recently I qualify for membership. I may do it as it will work out as £18 each for the year. I have time to think about it as they go away next week so wouldn't sort it until they are back.

Tomorrow should be another easy day, going to my friends for coffee and cake type thing with some of her family (my adopted grandparents) which will be nice. Also football season starts again wahooo

Happy Saturday. I received a letter from council tax spreading my payments over the extra 2 months and 12 months from next year. So that gives me an extra £35 a month wahoo. Last few years I felt like I wasted the extra money in Feb and March so having it every month will be more beneficial for me.

Popped into shop on way home to grab a few bits I'd forgotten and used another voucher so that was £10 transferred into my CC pot. I also brought some hair styling bits from my personal allowance and some warm croissants from Lid! as a treat. I skipped my usual cost@ coffee though so that's something.

Tomorrow should be a no spend day for me. Need to get me and my flat ready for going back to work on Monday and then go for a beach walk early evening with a friend. It feels like my week off has gone too quickly.

Today was the restart of the football season, my cousins all went to the game, but due to cost I didn't and really feel like I missed out. I want to go to games so need to think about how I will fund this. I'm going to allow any leftover transport costs carry over for petrol for games
But when comes to purchasing tickets I will have a new pot that any leftover spends can go in and thinking maybe anything I make from selling items. That might make me get off my butt and put stuff on vint3d

Why don’t you allocate your £35 council tax difference to a new pot for football tickets?

Costco fuel is usually about 4p a litre cheaper than other filling stations, so unless you have an electric car you'd likely save £18 over the year. Only card holders can use Costco filling stations.
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

I could do but I really wanted this to go towards debt repayments rather than spending. I think I need to find alternative way to fund it.

Thanks that's good to know. I think I will likely end up doing it especially as my sis in law is gonna pay half the price. Seems silly not to.

Costco is definitely worth having if you live near a store/warehouse.  I joined for a year but for us it wasn't worth it as the nearest one is over 50 miles away and we'd have to pay for the Dartford Crossing both ways to get to it and back home again which adds another £5.  It's particularly good for big packs of things like chicken as long as you have plenty of freezer space but please make sure you have a list with you of what you NEED and don't deviate from it and also know how much you'd normally pay for things in your local SM as not everything is cheaper particularly if it's something to which VAT will be added.

Petrol/diesel is definitely worth buying there as it's always much cheaper.

Yes I'm thinking I'll sign up for this first year and then decide after that whether i get enough usage. I looked on their website and did notice that it's mostly bulk buying and there is a few things I use that would be worth getting. I usually bulk buy my chicken from muscle food so this may be a good alternative.

I found the meat from Costco far better than what I bought from Muscle Foods to be honest and I think cheaper.
