I only got on the property ladder because of my inheritance after my mum died. I often look at moving but it just seems so unaffordable now.Makingabobor2 said:
Yes, that's one reason we wouldn't move back down there.Sarahwithlove said:
I am very lucky to live so close to the sea and it's something i definitely take for granted. Shame about house prices down here though!Makingabobor2 said:
You must live quite near my dad. He is in L-O-S. I used to love living on that coast. I do miss the sea since I moved to the Midlands. I went to the big school by SB when it was a grammar school, back in the day. Was such a lovely location.Sarahwithlove said:
My pass covers both L-O-S and nearby S-B which is one I tend to use as I like walking it's golden mile. It also includes the country park between them both as well which I live round corner from.Makingabobor2 said:a beach walk is far better than a weight loss jab. Thanks its definitely helped me be motivated and I know regular beach walks will help even more. Going back to the gym is another matter entirely but I also know once I do my walking and get fitter it becomes easier to motivate myself. One of those circles isn't it really. The more weight I lose the easier everything becomes.TallGirl said:Sorry to hear the injections are giving you so bad side effects but great you have lost so much. Must be a great boost and make you want to continue as you say with the walks, gym etc. I think you live very near me if I can work the acronyms out it is a lovely area but expensive for sure. Well done on clearing all the cards great start to 2025.

"Haha there isn't many beaches with the acronyms L-O-S!"
@Sarahwithlove - well I'm confused now because I can only get a seaside place in Essex with those initials and I had assumed that you and your footie team are based in Hampshire. Anyway beach walks sound like a great idea.1 -

Not much happening here. Went to the office yesterday so that was train and car parking costs out of my travel fund £17. Went to Mr T this morning as ran out of milk and fruit, spent £12.17. Only had £12 in my budget for this week so had to move a whole 17p from my buffer.
New week starts tomorrow for me, nails are being done £15, lunch out £15, evening out £10. Or at least that's what I'm budgeting anyway. I'm designated driver for evening out tomorrow so hoping the people I'm giving lifts to will buy me a drink. Would then be able to have a cheap night out and not use the full £10. I'm also going out for lunch on Sunday for Christmas meal with my bestie and her family. But that will come out of my Xmas buffer. I gave myself an extra £50 spending money this month for that sort of thing.*Dad loan - £5300 - £7000

Definitely worth the Christmas buffer. I've done the same thing after years and years of the money running out in December... who would have thought planning ahead would help!1
