Struggling how to send a letter / document internationally from UK

I need to send a letter / document internationally from UK and I want to use one of the well known couriers for door to door service i.e. DHL, Fedex UPS etc.
I don't seem to be able to find out how to get a quote to send a letter. It seems that all their 'get a quote' info boxes are set up for parcel sizes and weights rather than letters / documents.
I'd like to avoid using Royal Mail if possible and they will use the local domestic postal service once the letter arrives in the overseas country and that country's (Philippines) postal service is not as reliable as I'd like.
I must be missing something can anyone point me in the right direction?

DHL send by box size not weight so anything that will fit in is fine. A letter or fill it to the brim0
