Wrong PCN Code Issued

i came home one night (very late) and there was no spaces on my street (residential area that requires a permit, which I have and was on display). I parked up on this bit on the pavement which I assume is only there because of the tree. It has yellow
lines around it, but never actually sure if that relates to the road bit or the pavement. The pavement is very wide and parking here is not impeding any pedestrians, pushchairs or wheelchair users.
Anyway, the ticket I was issued was a Code 01 “parked in a restricted street during prescribed hours”.
is the PCN valid if they’ve clearly used the wrong code, because surely my appeal in this case is “I have a permit and it’s on display” (they were even kind enough to take a close up photo of the permit on display!)

DYL restrictions generally extend beyond to include the pavement and/or land up to the boundary of the adjoining properties. But .......
..... as we major on private parking tickets here, PePiPoo will be your best bet for council tickets. Register there but please note that a Hotmail address won't work - try using a throwaway Gmail account instead if you do have trouble registering, and post a new thread; here's your link:Read the sticky 'Read this before you post' as well as reading through some of the other threads there ahead of posting your own details, to get the hang of what information they need from you in your opening post - but as a minimum you will need to post redacted photos/scans of all correspondence you've received from the council (both sides, if appropriate), as they need to see all the small print. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

You are 'bang to rights'. That contravention code is correct; you are in contravention of the double yellow lines.
And the car is causing a pavement obstruction but that's not the issue the PCN was issued for (the DYL).
You can't avoid DYL by parking on a pavement 'behind' them. They still apply there.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

No it isn't. That code 01 is re Double Yellows.
People who park in a bay without a permit have a higher code number on their PCNs.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
