Child maintenance

Hi, I wonder if anyone could advise. I have an 18 year old from previous relationship, zero contact for many years due to DV. Son is in receipt of HRC/LRM Child disability payment in Scotland and unable to work. Has recently left college after being unable to cope in a mainstream setting with no SEN further education options within 100 miles, which isn’t an option.

I have informed child benefit of the move and upon trying to log with CMS it states child benefit will inform them and monies will stop on the September following leaving education. It is September so does that mean no more payments are due or should I still receive one this month?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

I am unsure of the answer but have you applied for Universal Credit for your son?
