Face ID on NatWest/RBS/Ulster Apps

Is anyone else having issues with Face ID not working on NatWest banking group apps at the moment? I have accounts with all 3. And with all 3 apps despite Face ID being switched on I’m being asked to enter my passcode every time

I upgraded my phone yesterday. Not sure if it’s do with changing my phone or not

Working on all 3 for me
  • Thanks for your replies. Just deleted and re installed the RBS app and it’s now asking me for Face ID when I log in, so I guess I’ll do the same with the other 2. Weird how all 3 were affected though l

Has your phone or tablet had an update recently.
Last year my iPad updated and all my app would not work with Face ID.
Later that day it wanted another update.
    After that everything worked again.

It was a brand new phone. Face ID was working with my other banking and other apps just not the NatWest group ones.

All sorted now I just deleted and re installed them. The issue may have been where they were re installed on my phone from my iPhone back up from my old phone.

Thanks all for your help though!
  • No phone updates but all of a sudden the app simply stopped working and requires me to re-register. The face ID that requires blinking is a disaster for me and requires endless tries before it recognizes me, if it does. Is there any way to use some other method for verification?
  • I think the fallback position is using the card reader if the biometrics don't work
