PIP text about review

I have been getting PIP since 2016, having had to do an appeal, so I had backpay and been on it since. I last had a review in 2019 and was awarded it for 2 years, but with covid they gave me 2 extensions saying a review could take any time up to July 2024. Yesterday, Saturday, I had a text through and it came quite late considering it was a weekend at 20:01pm. Now, pre-covid I didn't get texts, unless it was a reminder, but I received letters about a face to face appointment which I had as a visit to my home. This text said it was "Independent Assessment Services. This is for information purposes only, to let you know that we are managing your PIP assessment. We will look at the avaliable evidence and will contact you with an appointment if we need to have a consultation with you." It included their website link. I googled them and found it was genuine. This is my first time getting a text from them and that they would be doing my review. Could anybody tell me, please, who has had this text, how long was it afterwards you heard from them? I expect I will get an appt for a consultation and probably via phone going by how they seem to do it these days. Thanks for any help.

The text sounds normal... but hard to tell on timelines (as it can even vary depending on area) or indeed whether you will need an in person (by phone or otherwise assessment). If you don't need an in person assessment such that IAP who texted you can provide advice without such then next text you will probably get will be one from DWP saying they've received the report. If you have an assessment or do not need one.. once the DWP get the resulting report the decision should take from a couple to a few weeks.

They had complaints that people didn't know what was happening with their claim, so now send texts like that  to let you know what they are doing at various stages.
Of course they are always worded in a way that is usually even more confusing than not knowing. :/

Presumably you have completed a PIP review form ?
Alice Holt Forest situated some 4 miles south of Farnham forms the most northerly gateway to the South Downs National Park.

Firstly, thank you for all the replies and feedback of your own experiences. It is helpful that they send texts to let us know about updates, but it could still take awhile. I do expect them to do some sort of appointment, and going by others where I live and their PIP assessment, it seems overwhelmingly to be phone appointments. As for Alice's question, yes, I filled in PIP review form some months ago.
